What is Sports Psychology?
Sports psychology is the study of psychological factors that influence athletic performance and how participation in sports and exercise can affect the psychological and physical well-being of athletes.
-
How does it work?
Sports psychology teaches cognitive and behavioral strategies to help athletes improve their athletic performance, and mental wellness when participating in sports. Often times your mind can get in the way of your performance. Our goal is to remove that barrier and assist you in unlocking your full potential.

Let's get started
Every athlete and sport is unique and different often requiring one-on-one work. During individual sessions, we will work together to analyze your performances and create a custom Performance Toolkit. Your custom Performance Toolkit will consist of tailored psychological skills and tools that will help you achieve your goals and help enhance your performances.
Sports Psychology for children, teens and adults.
With the rise of club sports, year-round schedules, and the relentless pressures of social media, navigating the landscape of competitive sports can be a difficult endeavor. Oftentimes, the mental side of sports takes a backseat to the physical, technical, and gross motor aspects of athletics. This leaves many athletes wondering why they can’t seem to match their all-star practice performances with their underwhelming game-day result.
Common mental challenges in athletics can look like:
● Practicing great, but performing poorly in games
● Feeling stressed heading into practices because your heart is no longer in it
● Struggling to step into a leadership role or express your needs to your coach
● Difficulty navigating the monumental pressure placed on modern athletes
● Navigating the dreaded “yips”
● Dealing with ANTs (Automatic Negative Thoughts) and having no ant spray
● Self-sabotaging in competition because it feels easier to quit than to try and fail
● Believing you’re as good right now as you’ll ever be and can’t improve
