Tracy Donovan

AMFT

I believe each person is born worthy and comes into this world with unique gifts and preferences. I work with couples, families, teens, children, and individuals to help explore the roots of personal challenges and transform past patterns into more creative ways of being with self and others. I passionately believe in the innate healing ability of human beings that can be tapped by cultivating authenticity, communication, self-awareness, and advocacy.

I work from a holistic, client-centered approach and collaborate with clients on what is working for them, strengths, interests, and where they feel they need further growth and healing. Tapping into hobbies, interests, or spending time in nature can help stimulate important balance in our busy, left-brained, performance-based world.

In therapy sessions I incorporate concepts and training from EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, attachment theory, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), and Parent-Child Interactional Therapy (PCIT). I have a passion for supporting personal development and working with people on releasing roots of current life challenges to live a more fulfilling life.

Everyone has times in their life when they may experience feeling stuck, conflict, grief, or loss that may be felt as symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, anger, panic, body tensions, mood difficulties, or relationship struggles. I offer a safe, non-pathologizing approach that looks at the meaning of symptom signals so that each person can grow, develop, share their gifts, and connect with others in positive ways.

I enjoy collaborating with diverse clients and I have lived in many different cities, states, and overseas. In addition to experience working with people experiencing a variety of challenges including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and substance use, I have years of experience volunteering with children in schools and working with nonprofits, including families with children facing life-threatening illnesses, diseases, and disorders.

I look forward to supporting you and your loved ones on your personal journeys of healing and self-discovery!
